This course has seized upon a unique project-basedopportunity for the 2015 Winter term brought to us by two Desautels School of Management Dobson Cup winners, Cécile Branco and Bernard D’Arche (article link). The course focuses on creating a critically informed sustainability strategy and design propositions for the “Centre Magnétique” for Lac-Mégantic, QC. The Centre Magnétique is an entrepreneurial incubator and co-working space for the community in partnership with the Regional Economic Development Council. The course is comprised of undergraduate and graduate students from a variety of disciplines including architecture, philosophy, urban planning, urban systems, bio-resource engineering, geography, political science, and management. The course is generously sponsored by the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada and the McGill School of Architecture.
